Work Overview

 CSEs South Asia Programme supported by Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA) Regional has extensive spread and varieties of engagements with many stakeholders. The broad overall objectives can be summarized as follows:

Training Programme on Sanitation Safety Planning, June 27-30, 2017

Centre for Science and Environment (CSE), India in collaboration with Word Health Organisation (WHO) conducted a four day training programme on “Sanitation Safety Planning (SSP)” from 27-30th June, 2017.  30 practitioners from India and abroad (Rwanda, Tanzania, Bangladesh, Kenya and Ghana) participated in the training programme to learn about SSP as a tool that provides a structure to bring together actors and stakeholders from various sectors to identify health risks in the sanitation systems and agree on improvements and regular monitoring.

The training programmesaim at enhancing skill sets of practising professionals in the area of wastewater and to promote recycle and resuse of wastewater.

Faecal Sludge and Septage Management
The training programme aims at enhancing skill sets of practicing professionals in the sector of Faecal Sludge and Septage Management.

South Asia RWH Training Programmes
The training programmes for improving the undertanding of the concept for engineers, architects, planners, contractors, researchers and activists.
